About the Events

This event series builds on "charrettes" hosted by Green for the Greater Good last summer and workshops sponsored by the City of Wilmington and led by Hinge Collective last fall/winter.

Like last summer, students and professors from the University of Delaware's Living Lab Research Group will facilitate design workshops. Participants will be invited to discuss community garden models and examples, engage with garden site plans, provide feedback, and think about goals for the community garden space--including how it might serve as an outdoor learning environment and community resource hub to advance food justice and access to nature in our neighborhood.

This summer's community design workshop series is made possible by a grant awarded by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) through the Community Environmental Project Fund We thank DNREC for this investment in our community!
